Yes, absolutely there were some exaggerations, perhaps blatant lies on both sides. We shall see how the ol' factcheck turns out.
As for healthcare.....again, it sounds like for those of us with employer paid coverage would be serve best by Obama. Also, for all that great nuclear energy.....again, who wants to actually live near the power plant?? We have one in our county, Indian Point. The percentage of cancers and developmental disabilities in the surrounding towns are staggering. Where would all of the power plants be accepted??

sorry the certifying teachers.
I will throw this out there. Its a bit off topic but a thought I've had. I think there should be incentives for teachers to teach in certain areas. Say NYC or Philly. Why would any teacher want to teach there? Lower pay than in the suburbs. More crime in the classroom. That means less qualified teachers (not always but way too often) go to those jobs and the better trained and prepared teachers go to the burbs. I think that if you commit to teaching at an inner city school you should have some of your student loans paid by government.

Kim--I absolutely agree on incentives for teachers in the inner city schools, much the same as has been done for doctors in the same areas.
Also, on a younger level....Early headstart and headstart are terrific programs. Unfortunately the middle class is seriously lacking in preschool education still. While there is nothing wrong in keeping little ones at home, if there were anything available cost and structure wise to the lower middle and middle classes, improvements might be seen overall.

I thought McCain kicked butt tonight for once. I was literally falling asleep in the last debate it was so boring.
The winning line of the night was definitely "If you wanted to run against George Bush, you should'a done it 4 years ago."
And also harping on the comments made to the Ohio plumber, which Obama can not deny because I've watched the clip myself several times. He wants to "spread around the wealth." Uhhh...can we all say SOCIALISM?
